Hi, I'm Jordan Smith. I am the youngest of three boys and with both of my older brothers being athletic, I've always had the drive to be better than them and all of my opponents. I was always looking for opportunities to play against my brothers and show them that I could beat them. I am 16 years old. I only have one regret in my basketball career. I regret waiting until 5th grade to play basketball competitively. I think if I had started playing against competition earlier, I could be a very good player today. I go to Vidor High School. I am a Junior on the Varsity Basketball team. Our high school team hasn't had real success in 11 years. I am determined to lead my team to the playoffs and end the 11-year playoff drought. I am a very determined, hard-nosed, hard working player. I have never missed a practice, team workout, or a game due to anything other than a concussion I received after taking a shoulder to the head on a fast break. I may not be the most athletic player on the court sometimes, but I can guarantee that I play with more passion and heart than whoever I am playing against. I always put the team first and as I am playing in my junior year of high school this season, whatever my role may be, I will do whatever is needed of me to win games and get Vidor high school back into the playoffs.
