My goals and aspirations when it comes to college are to ultimately become a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practioner in Orthopedics/Sports Medicine. I aspire to play college basketball and will also in some capacity always want to be involved with the sport whether that be through coaching or recruiting. I feel I would be a good candidate because I give 110% to my team and have drive and determination. I have been playing basketball since I was eight years old. In the seventh grade, I worked every day in the gym and didn't miss a single open gym before tryouts. I didn't make the team that year. Instead of letting it affect me, I worked harder. I spent every moment I had watching film, working out, and working on my game. I came back so much stronger the next year and once again was told that they saw my passion for the game but that I needed to try harder next year. I could have given up. I could have said they were right and found something else to do with my time. But I had the motivation to prove them all wrong. I knew it was the most important thing for me to accomplish at that time in my life. So, I got onto a competition team and worked harder than I ever knew I could. I made the team the following year. I was asked to play JV my Sophomore and Junior years and in both, I dressed for Varsity. I have always remained humble knowing where I came from. I love my team and know that a team is only as good as its weakest player. I am the first to step up and motivate my teammates when I can see they need it. What sets me apart is my work ethic, and passion for the game.
