Landon Whiting '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Landon Whiting and I am a very coachable player that will do whatever the coach needs me to do. I can be a really good passer if my shot is not falling that day. I will always box out when a shot goes up and will hustle as much as possible. I am a great rebounder, shot blocker and finisher. I am confident with the ball. My NBA comparison would be Scottie Barnes because I have a good basketball IQ and am a great teammate. I am a great team leader and am the captain for my rep team.

I currently play varsity prep high school basketball at Vermont Academy, the 2023-2024 NEPSAC AAA League Champions. Last year I played varsity at Kenner Collegiate Institute even though I was only a sophomore (the only one on the team). Our team finished the season 24-2. We won our region (Central Ontario) and a silver medal at the Ontario Championships (OFSAA) Class A.

My future goals in basketball are to play college basketball and my dream goal is to be in Division I. In my academic future I currently want to be a teacher.
