Treyshawn Weatherspoon '25 Recruiting Profile

Basketball has been a part of my life since I was baby.  As young as I can remember, I’ve always had a ball in my hand and participated in multiple sports. However, basketball has been my favorite sport because I enjoy the team atmosphere, the fast pace and the competitiveness.  My parents have molded me into the person and player I am today. Them being young, teen parents trying to raise a child showed me the value of hard work, giving 100% effort in everything I do and never give up on your dreams. 

My academic goals are to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA throughout high school and college, finish high school with an Associates of Arts degree through running start program and receive my Bachelor’s degree in my chosen major.  My athletic goals are to lead my team to a championship, become a team captain, a starter of my high school and college team. What makes me different from other recruits is my adaptability, positive and energetic attitude, quick learner, team player, giving 100% effort and most importantly I am coachable. I would make a great candidate for any team I play for because of my work ethic, ability to make the right decision in the final minutes, good defense and skilled court vision. I would like to leave you with who I am as a player. I am a floor controlling, pass first point guard that can score at will and has great ball handling skills. Others may see a good game as scoring high double-digit but I also involve myself other ways in the game through assists, steals and rebounds.
