Matthew Amano '21 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Matthew Amano.  I currently live in North Seattle and have been here for the past three years.  Prior to that I was born and raised on the island of O'ahu. 

    My goals for my collegiate career are to be able to play at a quality D2 or D3 program where I can be challenged and excel in my education and athletics. To be able to play under a well balanced head coach in a competitive environment would be ideal for me. 

    For me, I believe that I can fit into a variety of programs due to the fact that throughout all the variables of basketball, every team needs solid, lock down defense and players that can bring numbers and hustle consistently. 

    What is different about me when compared to other players is my ability to be a standout player on both sides of the court. Hustle and tenacity come natural to me and it can be seen clearly on the defensive end. Consistent shooting and passing is a must every day for me. 

    Currently I attend a private Christian, college preparatory school which allows me to incorporate my Christian faith along with academic excellence.
