Peter Jones '17 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals include receiving an excellent education and earning a degree that will provide me with future career opportunities. I am interested in studying Construction Management and Business. In addition to my educational goals, I would like to be a valuable contributor and play college basketball. I know I am a good candidate because of my personality, reputation, experience, and passion for the sport. I have been a two-sport varsity athlete and maintained a good GPA at my all boys, Catholic prep school. I am a well-liked and respected teammate due to my supportive, positive attitude and strong work ethic. I enjoy the brotherhood that comes from being part of a team and am an easily coachable player. As a sophomore on the varsity basketball team, I was recognized for my contributions and honored to receive the Coaches Award.  I am also proud of the reputation I have with the teachers and administrators at my school.  I actively contribute to my school community by volunteering with the St. Vincent de Paul Society which helps families in need, work on the school retreats, act as a mentor to underclassmen, serve as a school ambassador, and volunteer at various school events. I was recently selected by the faculty at O’Dea to serve as 1 of 4 senior student leaders for next year. I am a very conscientious player and student and enjoy giving it my all both on and off the court. I am confident that I have the right disposition, personal values, experience, and talent to be an asset to any team.
