John Hansberry '17 Recruiting Profile

I am a student-athlete. Student comes first. I understand I need to take care of my studies before I can ever step foot on the court. I know my grades are on the edge so I am extremely looking to improve them within the next semester.

I am a point guard. I am known to be a very coachable player. I listen to coaches instruction with ease and can show it on the court. I am a excellent ball handler and I have a great vision to see the floor and find the open man. My shooting is in progress (from behind 19' 9") but my floater is one of my strong suits. I continue to improve all the aspects of my game. I am a team player who wants to win more than anything. I am scrappy and take pride in rebounding as a guard.

Apart from basketball I am very involved in volunteering at Church and I play Varsity and Club soccer at a very high level. I believe both of those have helped me progress. Church has given me character and diligence, and soccer has given me tactical thinking and vision on the court.
