Massimo Ruz '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Massimo and I am 16 years old. The only thing that was clear to me since I was little was that I wanted to play basketball in the United States and since then I have been working daily to get there. As I've gotten older, I've learned about high school and college basketball and the level it takes to play it at the highest level, and while I know I can improve many aspects of my game, I believe I can play at that level. level. Right now I'm a 6.1 PG/SG who can score at all three levels and get my teammates involved, I'm working on my athleticism and becoming a more physical player every day. 

I am looking for a program to develop my game and reach that potential that I know I have. My playing style is closer to that of the United States and, having European experience, I think I can make a great combination and become an excellent player if I do the necessary work. 

When I finish my high school career, I would love to go to an NCAA Division I university. I believe basketball is just as important as academics and I believe the best way to reach my full potential in both is through college basketball. Obviously, I would love to become a professional player after college and make it to the NBA or EuroLeague, and I know the NCAA is a good path to achieve that. However, I am a person who focuses on living in the present and my goal now is to develop my game. 

Some of the achievements I have had in the last three years could be: this season I have been the top scorer of the Juvenil 16 of the Community of Madrid with 24.6 points per game and also the top three-point shooter with 3 triples per game. I have also played with the U17 and U18 team. Last year I played a tournament in France in which I won the MVP and the Championship, the AS Monaco scouts were watching that tournament (Monaco is the 3rd best team in Europe right now playing the Euroleague) and they invited me to train with them Last year and also this year I trained with the under 18 and under 21, and they told me that my doors are open in Monaco, although I told them that right now I wanted to go to the United States.
