The love of basketball started when I was 5 years old working with the high school coaches in youth camps. Then I fell in love with the game at that point and have always had a basketball in my hands since.
I'm lucky to say that I've had 4 coaches that have taught me to love the game of basketball. They showed confidence in me at times when I had not earned it yet. They gave me opportunities that I probably didn't deserve and their confidence in me helped me develop my love for basketball. The impact they had on me pushes me to want to play beyond high school and hopefully beyond college.
My academic goal is to get a degree in education and a minor in Math. I'm interested in coaching after college and the teaching degree will help me achieve that goals. I'm looking to find a school that I can enjoy my college experience while playing basketball and help set me up to achieve my goals after my playing days are over.
My coaches taught me how to be a good teammate and to be coachable. They taught me how to see the floor and view the game in a different way. They taught me to develop versatility. I'm best known for my shooting, but I also take a lot of pride in my passing, ball handling and defense. But my greatest asset is my love of of the game. I feel like I can bring a lot of passion to a program and I can use that along with my basketball skill sets to develop into a very productive player that wants more from the game after I am done playing.
