Wesley DeNoble-Winkel '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Wesley DeNoble-Winkel. I am a 5'11 point guard who can also play the 2 guard. I am the hardest worker you will find and pride myself in continuously striving to find better ways to develop, learn, and grow as a person, player, and student.

 I am a knockdown shooter from anywhere on the court all the way out to 35 feet. I have consistently shot over 40% from three and over 85% from the line since the start of middle school. I have a trustworthy handle, and am able to protect the ball from aggressive and bigger defenders. I take pride in my playmaking and ability to create opportunities for others. I also take pride in my leadership, as I feel an obligation to be a leader for my peers on and off the court, to set the example for how to hold yourself accountable and take responsibility. 

I am not only focused on my basketball success, but am also committed to my success in the classroom. I currently have a 4.2 GPA and am on a high honors track. I challenge myself in the classes I take with the goal of learning to my fullest capabilities. I have a very good attendance record and have only missed 3 days in the last 3 years, all of which have been due to injury or severe sickness where I was not physically capable of going to school.

I am in love with the game of basketball and finding ways to get better than I currently am. One of my goals is to play college basketball at the highest level I possibly can, and earn my way to being a key contributor for a competitive team at the collegiate level.
