Personal Statement
My name is Josh Harlander and it has always been a dream of mine to play basketball at the collegiate level. I am currently 6'4" and weigh 180. My most important accomplishments in basketball thus far have been making the All Northwest Wisconsin Team, being named to the 2nd Team All Conference two years in a row, and playing on the Playmakers and Wisconsin Blaze AAU teams. I also made the All Tournament Team at the Pump-n-Run Tournament in Bloomington, MN in April of 2011. I believe that as a player I can offer a team leadership, dedication, and passion. I have been a team captain for my football and basketball teams. I put in extra hours on and off the court studying playbooks and learning everything I can about the mechanics and techniques of the sport. My goals are to make an impact on a team and win. I relate well to others and my coaches would tell you that I am eager to please. I handle pressure well and was given the Pressure Award by my high school coaches for ball-handling, decision making, and clutch shooting last season. I am open to any type of college, big or small. I am uncertain of a specific major at this time, but I am interested in sports management, engineering, or pre-law.
