I am a good candidate for a collegiate team because I have the determination to get better at my game.
I am practicing basketball in the school gym when allowed, I practice at home, and I go to the local fitness center. When I am in the gym, I use the time to better my game and not shoot just to shoot. I lift weights three times each week before school starts.
I am a three sport athlete. In any sport, I am coachable. I never complained about a position I was put in even though I wanted to play a different position. The coach plays me at the position that will best help the team. I play to the best of my ability in any position that I am told to play.
I mentally prepare for games by watching a lot of film of the opponents. By watching film I know what to expect on the field or court.
My collegiate goals are to find an area of study that interests me, study hard, and obtain a degree to put me in a marketable position for employment. I want to continue to play sport(s) in college. I have always been athletic and believe that I can compete at the next level. Being part of a sports program has pushed me to be good at academics and I want to continue with good grades in college.
