Nolan Carroll '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nolan Carroll and I’m a versatile defender/slasher and hard worker looking for a great basketball program like yours. Although I’m 6’1” I have size 14 shoes and a 6’5” wingspan.   I’m hoping to work with you to determine if we are a fit for each other.  My basketball career so far has been full of challenges and successes. I shot near 50% this season and love to drive, block and steal the ball.   I love to drive from the wing while mixing in the mid-range with an occasional 3-pt shot.  My 3-pt shot steadily improved and I was able to hit 6 of 7 in a game my Senior season. I started every game this season in a different positions showing my versatility.  My scoring average, blocks, and assists are all higher then my previous year.  In my Junior season I earned seven Double-Doubles and five "Player of the Game" awards for my Junior season.  I also earned Defensive Player of the Year for my team and was named All Conference - Honorable Mention two consecutive years.  I represented Kenosha County in the Racine - Kenosha County all start game in April 2024.

My senior season is going even better where I am one of top shot blockers in the state averaging 2 blocks per game.  I've increased my scoring and hit 6 of 7 three-point shots in a single game.  My best game of the season was 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 blocks.  I've earned Player of Game 8 times and am among the team's best in terms of scoring, assists, rebounds, blocks, and shooting percentage.  I take great pride in my defense where I often go up against bigger players.  

My academics are improving.  The first semester of my senior year my GPA was 3.12, and my second semester was 3.50 improving my overall High School GPA to 2.44.  During my Junior year all of my Math, Science, and Language requirements were met.  One of my best classes was Physics, where I achieved an A.  I'm demonstrating that I am improving academically and have learned to work with my teachers to focus on their requirements for getting an A.
