Personal Statement
Every since I was a child I was obsessed with sports and loved being active and exercising. When I was introduced to basketball in the second grade I instantly fell in love and my parents supported me and helped push me and my abilities to the limit. And as I grow they continue to push me and I want to reward them for all their mutual and financial support by making their lives easier once my dream comes true. My parents are the reason I play and my hunger feeds off the idea that one day I can take care of them and the rest of my family so nobody has to struggle.
My goals for college is to be able to have a full ride throughout my college experiences by academic and athletic basketball scholarships. As a player I provide a main scorer ability and good versatility from the 2-4 positions. I’m very lengthy and this allows me to contribute on both the offensive and defensive end disrupting opponents shots, grabbing boards, out letting or running the break myself. I am also a great team leader and floor general even though I don’t run the point guard position. In my academic career I was always a 3.2 student and just had a minor setback this year but will get back to those normalities. I want to pursue an engineering degree in robotics or mechanics but overall I want to own my own business so that I can create a stable money source for the descendants of my family.
I always watch college basketball and admire every division that plays. I’ve always been optimistic and open to ideas of playing college ball at any level and would love to play against other great competitors in basketball.
