Sean Ortscheid '25 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to play basketball at the college level.  I come from a basketball family. My older brother and sister have played at the college level and hope to continue the family tradition.  I am good student having a 3.49 GPA, pushing myself in honors level classes. I am well rounded participating in various clubs in school - Chess Club, Key Club, Spanish Club and Student Council.  I also play football and will be captain next year.  I plan on majoring in finance in college.

I am hardworking. A personal achievement I am proud of is having a job since I was 14, saving up and buying my own car when I turned 16.  

Two words to describe me as a player are effecient and energy.  I averaged roughly 12 minutes a game my junior year.  Coming off the bench, I led my team in 3pt average at 33%. I averaged 3pts per game, 2.3 rebounds per game.  I bring energy everytime I enter the game causing deflections/steals, grabbing rebounds, scoring, etc.  I run the court well, hedge well on defense and don't force shots.  I've already started my off season workout to improve my game and am excited for the AAU season to begin.

 This AAU Season is off to a great start. I am a starter.  I am averaging 9ppg and 3rpg.  

UPDATE: I blew my knee out diving for a loose ball in a recent tournament.  ACL surgery scheduled for May 15th. I'm devastated to miss my entire senior year sports seasons.
