Braeden Valenzuela '26 Recruiting Profile

For the past five years, I've been diving with the esteemed Crown Valley Divers under the guidance of Coaches Curt Wilson and Julian Krug. Throughout my diving experience, I've gained valuable lessons in passion, dedication, and development. A goal I have this year is to make it to finals on all boards for USA Junior Nationals, especially on platform because I have a deep connection with it. Putting in hard work, regarding academics and diving, are top priorities for me. I plan to continue this level of commitment as I progress throughout high school and college. Additionally, I would like to pursue a major in architecture with the goal of acquiring a masters degree as well. I have maintained a GPA of 4.0 throughout the past years and although my school doesn't calculate weighted GPA, I attained 20.5 college credits as a concurrent enrolled student at Saddleback College since Fall 2022. In terms of dive merits, I competed both 1 meter and platform (5 & 7 meter) at the 2022 USA Junior National Championships and competed 3 meter at prelims during that same event. My highest scores are 507.85 on 3 meter, 430.25 on 1 meter, and 321.20 on platform. Along with that, I am a 2023 AAU Diving Junior National finalist on all 3 boards. As for high school diving, I will be starting next spring 2025 for my junior year, and I plan to compete in my senior year. Overall I feel that I am a person of great commitment and is looking forward to seeing how the recruiting process goes.
