I began diving my Freshman year of high school (Nov 2019) and have been diving for 2 years now. I competed in gymnastics for 4 years and trampoline for 2 years before I discovered diving. This experience helped me grow my dive list quickly and along with the help of a great high school coach, I qualified for the 2020 Washington State 4A High School Championships after only 3 months of diving. I placed 18th, missing finals by 3.5 points, but knew I wanted to continue with diving and see how far I could go. I recently joined Alpha Diving Club after a year at Pacific Northwest Diving. Despite the King County Aquatics Center being closed for over 18 months, I continued to train as much as possible including LOTS of dryland work and diving at different community pools where we could get time. This training has been limited to 1M work, but in July 2021 we were able to get a few weekends of 3M training in Oregon and Eastern Washington and I began working on my 3M list. The KCAC pool is finally open again and I am progressing on 3M and beginning to work on a Platform list as well. Growing up, my coaches, from soccer and baseball to gymnastics and diving, have always said that I am a hard worker who is unafraid to try new things. My goal for the future is to find a school and dive team that is a great fit for me, that will bring out the best in me, and will allow me to make lifelong friendships with my coaches and teammates.
