Hi, my name is Bradin Stahl from Priddis Alberta, Canada. I am currently attending Grade 11 at All Sants High School in Calgary.
I started golfing 10 years ago playing local golf courses and began playing competitively five years ago, competing in Alberta Golf and Maple Leaf Junior Tour events, where I won the national OM in 2019. I have a passion for the game. I am constantly working on trying to become a better player. Focusing on the physical and mental parts of my game. Living in Canada, our season only runs from late May to October. This is very inconvenient, but I have adapted my game to make the most of the summer months. With this time restraint, I put double-time into my training. I am constantly working to better myself in the game. I work on my game year around, playing with my swing mechanics in the winter at indoor facilities. I spend my summer playing and practicing at my home course Priddis Greens G&CC. I focus all my time on golf in the summer; countless hours are spent on the practise greens and the range. I love to challenge myself and become a better player, focusing most of my time on yardage control and shot shaping.
Jamie Reimer is currently instructing me at Golf Future YYC Center. I have been with Jamie for the past seven years; he has shaped my game into what it is now. My 2019,2020 season was a challenge to recalibrate my game. In the last six months, I grew eight inches, and that really took a toll on my swing. Over that six month period, I had put over sixty yards on my Drives. I was very pleased with my swing, but I struggled with distance control. This had an impact on my consistency within my game.
I have been playing hockey for most of my life. I have been in the Okotoks Oilers Hockey Association for the past two years. It is very refreshing to be in a team atmosphere, and I believe I am a team player on the ice and the course. As a multisport athlete, I have learned how to balance academics, along with sports. I believe I have many key characteristics that are important to become a successful student-athlete, but my strongest attribute is my work ethic.
