I still remember my first golf lesson, it was on March 31st 2018. After that I was hooked. I decided to play golf as much and as long as I could. I had spent my athletic life to that point playing football, basketball, soccer, baseball and track. I started practicing golf and a few months later I played in my first tournament. I shot a 103. All the other sports fell to the wayside and I started practicing more frequently and played in more tournaments. A year later I played in that same tournament and shot a 76. It has been 2 years since that tournament and I have been working everyday to just recently being able to shoot consistently even par or a couple over. I know I have a long way to go to be a good college golfer, but I still have a great deal of potential. Although I believe playing all of those other sports has helped me be a better golfer, I now dedicate my athletic time to practicing and developing my skills as a golfer.
