Personal Statement
Golf is my driver of life, and playing on the PGA Tour is my dream. I believe that given a chance to study at a NCAA D1 college, would allow me the incredible opportunity of an education alongside the opportunity to expand on my golf skills, and reach my goals.
Golf has been my life since birth. I was born the morning of the first round of The Master’s in 2008, my dad is a golf professional, and my grandfather was also a golf professional. As soon as I could crawl, I had toy clubs in my hand. Once I could stand, my dad cut down a few old clubs, I was at the range by two and half years of age and competing at six. My passion and dedication to the game is constant, I try to never miss a day of playing or practicing.
To date, my hard work has been rewarded with 54 first place finishes. Which include national, international, local and provincial level tournaments.
I like to keep myself occupied and I am always working towards my goals. I spend a lot of time focused on my schooling, practicing, and working out daily. When I do have free time, I spend it with friends playing hockey, basketball, water sports, road hockey and I always look forward to my Friday family night, movie nights.
My family has been a large influence in my early success so far. My parents exposed myself and my siblings early to as much as they possibly could. We have lived in three different provinces, making us a close family – we are always there to cheer each other on. My busy life, the skills I have learned and my real-life experiences, will only help in my future success.
All in all, I feel as though I am a well-rounded, talented young man who cannot wait to play golf for a D1 college. I know if given the opportunity, I would be an excellent team-mate and representative for any school I am lucky enough to play for.
