Thomas Zhang '25 Recruiting Profile

I have played golf for  years and my passion for golf has grown a lot over the years. My strength in golf is my mental toughness which makes my performance in very competitive tournaments very consistent. In the past two years, I have had 3 wins, 8 top 3, 3 top 5 and 3 top 10 finishes. My average score is about 73 per round and the lowest score is 68 (-4) which I played at CJGA BC Cup at Fort Langley in May 2022. Last winter, I made some significant swing changes with my coach and focused a lot on fitness training. This season, I was able to hit the ball further and more consistently. To my delight, I had another 68 at the 14th Annual FCG Las Vegas Championship in April 2023. In addition, I played Marine Drive Junior Invitational and finished 1st out of 72 with 73-70. I also qualified for team BC to play in the Junior America’s Cup this summer. Beyond the technical aspects, I believe that my commitment, resilience, and hard work are qualities that will aid in my development as a student-athlete.
