I am Luke Walker, Class 2025 at IMG Academy where I entered as a high school sophomore. I am a high-level competitor on IMG Academy's golf team, committing over 35 hours a week in practices and tournaments.
Golf Overview: I am a left-handed golfer, and I picked up my first golf club in eighth grade. I started off my high school junior golf season with strong results, and continue to show marked improvement in every facet of my game. Since the 23-24 high school season started in September 2023, I have played in 6 tournaments through the end of October, with a scoring average of 75, with a best of 71. I placed in the top 10 in 5 out of the 6 tournaments, including: Sept. 9-10- PGA National HJGT, 72-80/152 (placed 1st), Sept. 23-34- Orange County HJGT, 73-71/144, (T3), and Oct. 7-8- Disney Fall Junior Open HJGT, 76-74/150 (T10). My performance at my final tournament in October was 73/75/148 (T14) on October 28-29 at Orlando Fall Junior Open HJGT. All of my coaches have recognized that I am “very coachable”, and they have complimented my ability to remain focused, both during practices and in tournaments. I aspire to play competitive college golf at the highest level, furthering my own successes while also encouraging the successes of my teammates.
