Aaron DeWitt '25 Recruiting Profile

Making it to the Florida State Amateur Championship for the second time in last 3 years has been one of the highlights of my golf career and was fortunate enough to make the cut both times. I have been playing competitive golf since the age of 7 and have many great moments to reflect on.  I am very passionate about the game of golf.  My grandfather introduced me to the game when I was 3 years old.  You may have seen the video that I have posted to my profile :-)    

I have been fortunate enough to be part of many different coaching programs throughout the last 10 years.  All of whom have made me the golfer I am today.  Through my experiences, I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership.  I think of myself as a team leader and more importantly, a team player.  Living in a small town with a lot of younger kids, it inspires me to be someone that they look up to, not only for the game game of golf, but as a whole person.

I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically.  To date, I have been a straight A student and I strive to make sure it stays that way.  This year I am enrolled in the Polk State Collegiate High School Program.  I am very excited about this opportunity as I will be able to graduate with my Associates Degree in 2025.  This will not only be beneficial to me academically but will give me a head start on how College Life will be and how to manage a college curriculum.  It will also allow me more flexibility once I go to a 4 year school to not have as much work load and giving me more time to work on my golf game. I believe I not only have the talent to compete competitively on a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. My end goal is to make it to the PGA Tour!
