William Powell '21 Recruiting Profile

Regardless of how my game or my personal score is, I will always be a good teammate.  My experience playing sports other than golf has helped me realize how important having "brothers" is.  My current golf team is like that now, and I want to bring that same mentality to any college team. I want to create a positive environment because that environment translates to winning on and off the course. Golf is a sport that tests your mental fortitude more than your physical game. Mentally, I feel as if I am strong enough to compete and thrive at a higher level. Whether this on the golf course or in the classroom, I will always carry a positive attitude and a drive to succeed. Golf is important to me, but nothing ever will compare to how important school and college is to my future goals and aspirations. I have carried this same mindset about dreaming big since the beginning of high school, and I don't plan on changing it at all once I start attending college.
