My name is Colin Adelman, and I am currently going into my junior year at Lambert High School. I have played basketball, soccer and golf throughout my childhood, but now I am focusing on golf. I have played golf since I was 7 years old, and I have always loved it for its unique challenges and the chance to bond with friends. My Dad is a golf professional at the Standard club in Johns Creek Georgia. He has been my main teacher my entire life and has helped me improve my game and love for the sport. As a sport with an emphasis on honesty, integrity and character, I believe it has helped shape the person I have become. My goals have always been to work hard to become the best person and player I can be, and to always have fun doing it.
I love team golf because it gives you the chance to do your own thing, as well as be part of a team. I have played 4 years of team golf and each year I feel I grow as a person, a player and a teammate. I work hard to do my best at whatever task I take on. I have focused on both my academics and my golf game with the intention of attending college and playing on their golf team. I would love to continue my golf career in college and be a part of a team and where I can be an asset and contribute to my team’s success.
As I move on to college, I will continue to conduct myself with integrity and respect in the classroom and on the course, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school I attend.
