Johnnie Blackburn '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I’m Johnnie Blackburn. I have been playing golf ever since I was two years old and have loved it ever since. I have played many sports, but golf stuck with me the most, I felt that the joy and happiness it brought was immeasurable. I have been looking to attend a college for golf for some time and make my statement there to reach my goal of making the PGA tour. I am looking forward to these coming years in my recruiting process and can’t wait for what the future brings. 

Starting my life in golf, I played from a very young age and attended summer camps as well as winter camps for over 8 years. These camps have been with Ironwood golf course and Rick Sellers Golf Academy. Recently I have been attending lessons with my swing coach at Rick Seller's Academy, Eric Meier. I have worked with him for a short time but I feel that he has helped me improve my game immensly. Eric has taught and coached me in chipping, wedge shots, full swing and putting. With all of this help I feel that I have learned and progressed my golf game so much and can't wait to use all I have learned in these upcoming years.
