I first started l playing as a kid with my dad and going out to play whenever I could. I started playing competitively on my local PGA Junior League Team and really enjoyed the team aspect and experience. I was fortunate prior to my freshman season of high school to qualify and play in an AJGA event. I didn‘t hit my expectations but I learned what I needed to for the upcoming season.
My freshman year was almost as good as I could ask for. I had a good team to help me get started and had a few good performances that helped my team get to state. We had a shortened schedule this year and no state tournament, however, we made the best of it and had fun while doing it. We had three seniors who wanted to finish strong and were very competitive. We managed to win the conference tourney and regional tourney. Playing your best, encouraging your team mates, and keeping yourself in control is the best thing that you can do.
