My name is Zach Farrer. I am currently going to be a senior at Pendleton Heights High School in the fall of 2014. It is my goal to play collegiate golf while furthering my education. After living in Indiana all my life, I would prefer to attend a college or university where I could play golf year round. I am not limiting myself to the warmer climate, as I have an open-mind for any college or university that is a good fit for me as a student athlete. I have grown up in a family of golfers my whole life. My great grandfather loved the game. My 78-year old grandfather still plays every day. My father is the PGA Professional/owner of Hawk's Tail Golf Course in Greenfield, Indiana. I have played golf since I was able to walk. I played in local tournaments since five, but didn't move on to a more competitive level until middle school. I have had many successes throughout my golf career. Please review my events profile. Overall, I am an extremely hard worker. I have maintained a 3.6 GPA in high school. My SAT score is 1610. I am a member of Beta and The National Honor Society. I averaged a score in the low to mid 70's during my junior year on the varsity golf team. I work part-time at a Pro-shop and at our schools for various athletic events. I was also selected as a Character Counts athlete to represent Madison County. I will be attending the IHSAA Student Leadership Conference this summer. If you are looking for a dedicated student athlete that works hard in the classroom and on the golf course, than I am someone you should consider for your golf program.
