Hello,
My name is Tristen Dubbs. I am in my senior year at South Knox High School. I am foremost a Christian and work to be a leader and role model amongst my classmates and teammates. I have been playing golf since I was two. My mentor, who I am very close to, is my dad who played D1 golf. My dad has taught me how to play golf since I was little. Both of my parents have taught me to treat and respect others all the time. Through my high school career, I accredit my hard work and desire to win to shine as others haven't been able to.
I have also played as a starter for varsity soccer all four years opposite of my golf season. I was awarded the team captain band and continue to lead my team by example. I am equally successful at soccer. On 9/27/19, MaxPreps named me the Indiana Player of the Week. I am ranked #3 at 81 in points nationally and #4 at 34 goals. I have broken the school record in goals for the 2019 season. My career stats with the season still going is 52 goals and 18 assists. My desire to win is what has fueled my successes in these sports.
I work every Sunday at Country Oaks Golf Course in Montgomery, IN working with the carts, outside maintenance, course repair, and making sure the golfers have what they need.
Last year I was voted the CEO of my CEO (Creating Entreprenurial Opportunities) class. I was responsible for being the main contact with the business professionals in our community as well as the lead in our annual fundraiser event and dinner.
My education consists of the Core 40 Honors diploma track. As busy as I have been with two sports, I have been able to keep a 3.829 GPA. I have been taking dual credit courses since my junior year. I also participate in FCA, National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, and Foreign Language Club.
My aspiration in college is to obtain a bachelors degree majoring in business administration, while playing sports for my college.
I look forward to speaking to you about my potential with your program.
