Personal Statement

Hello,

my name is Jan Ciric and I am eighteen years old high school junior who is living in Slovenia. I am a member of national golf team with a current hcp of +1. My high school graduation year is 2022 which would also be the year I am looking to start my career as a student-athlete in the United States. I have achieved this level by playing Slovenian AM tour, EGA competitions and different WAGR tournaments.

At the moment I am attending the Central Sports Gymnasium in Ljubljana, visiting 3rd year with grades -4. I still have one year and a half until I graduate. During that time I would like to find my place in a University golf program. I am fluent in English and I am planning to take SAT tests as needed. My strengths are physics, math, biology, geography.

Some of my highlights are: June 20, 2021 I won Slovenian Boys and Girls International Championship with a final score -4 after 54 holes of stroke play. With this win, overall best in U21 among 83 boys and 36 girls I did accomplish my spot on WAGR. I am a member of national team Slovenia , Slovenia tour 2020 U18 Champion/ tied, been improving my golf game for the last 2 years from 5 to + 1.2 hcp, I am a passionate golfer and overall just love competing and winning. I also qualified for Duke of York 2021. As a Slovenian National team we also had a great success on European Boys Team Championship in Estonia with 3rd place overall.
