Personal Statement
Currently I am attending St. Peters College, Jersey City, NJ and played golf my freshman year. After getting settled into a very new urban college environment, I eventually recorded the lowest tournament scoring average on the team (78) along with practice round average (73) my freshman year. I played in almost every tournament this year and either played #1,or #2 which allowed me to gain valuable college experience. Our team played on some of the most challenging courses and conditions in the northeast which has helped me become battle ready for any challenging course. While a freshman I tried to take as many leadership roles as possible and do whatever it took to push our team to the next level.I have always been a part of a winning team (won 2 state titles) and strive to win, I am prepared to work hard my last 3 years and do whatever it takes to become the best player I can be. I am looking for a coach that is dedicated to his job and has the same competitive mindset that I possess. I have already compiled 63 college credits, a 3.97 GPA, and plan on pursuing a dual business and political science degree while in college. I am looking to be a part of a competitive team that I will have the chance to play on in the near future. I would like the opportunity to work hard and practice more then twice a week. This past year at St. Peters I was limited to my practice facilities which limited my growth and created inconsistency as a player. It has been my dream to play at a big/medium sized school and I feel with college experience and drive to win that I will be able to reach this goal. I know that many teams have filled up their classes for 2010, but I have the ability to transfer at any time and would bring valuable playing skills to any team in 2011 or 2012. Along with a successful golf program, I am looking for a strong academic institution that will allow me to be able to continue on with my academic success while providing me with quality knowledge. I have played in many AJGA events and placed well which has allowed me to gain valuable experience and build a strong resume. I do not feel like my potential has been met yet and am looking for an opportunity that will push me to the next level.
