
Tommy Sharps, 202...My name is Tommy Sharps and I live in Baltimore, Maryland. I am graduating high school in the class of 2024, and I'm excited to take on sports and academic challenges! I hope to study business or finance in college to further my education. I have a fun and outgoing personality and love bringing a team together. Long lasting relationships and friendships and some of the things I hope to create at the collegiate level. I'm different from other recruits because I like to have fun on the golf course and lift teammates up when they're playing their best!
I am a strong student and my passions within school include English and Math. I excelling in a difficult curriculum with a 3.94/4.0 unweighted and 4.03/4.0 weighted.
Achievements:
-2nd in MIAA Individual Championships with a 70-70 (-4)
-2022 Capital Cup Team Maryland participant
-James J. Connelly Award winner at the Kerry Cup, voted on by 13 college coaches
-Junior Boys Club Champion shooting 69 (-3) to qualify for match play and one seed
-Made varsity golf team as a starter and led team (as the 2 seed) to an MIAA championship.
-Best match play record on team, 32-10 (3 points rewarded in each match)
-T7 in Optimist International Championships in 2019
-Played in inter club event at Philadelphia Cricket Club and Aronimink winning medalist honors, 69-73, result in a team win by 3 strokes
-Was invited and played in Optimist TOC the following year
-Played in Junior All-Star in Urbana, Illinois shooting 75-76-75
-6th in age group in the Maryland State Junior Championship
My parents have guided me to have a true passion for the game that you won't see in many other young golfers. My mom taught me to be determined to get better and my dad taught me to strive for excellence.
I am currently ranked by JGS 2573 overall, 421st in the class of 2024, 21st in the state of Maryland , and 4th in the class of 2024 in Maryland.
