Hi my name is Tommy Gillis, I play golf for the St. John's Prep golf team in Danvers Massachusetts. I have been golfing my whole life statting from a very young age, my dad is a golf pro and I also have a lot of golfers in the family, so golf was natural for me. When choosing St. John's as my high school I knew that the school was very competitive for golf, so it made me excited to go there. I think I am one of the most competeitive people out there and I hate losing more than anything. I bring lots of energy with me when I am playing golf which makes me thrive in a team/competitive setting. Throughout my time at St. Johns I have brought that competitiveness out on the course and have done everything it takes to win, by never giving up and also keeping a positive attitude. I think keeping a positive attitude is very important in leading to success, which I try to do as much as I can. Also I always feel like I can improve in some way, shape or form so I am always looking to improve when it comes to golf even if it is only the most minor thing.
