Todd Souza '11 Recruiting Profile

I've played golf for about eight years now. I'm 5'8" and my weight is 151 pounds. I have a 3 handicap right now. I got to that level on my own with little training or lessons. The only lessons I have received were in the first two years that I started golfing and towards the end of this season I have started taking lessons from Dave Sarrasin at Carnegie Abby Golf Club in Portsmouth, RI. Everything else about my game has been self taught with a little help from my coach to fix some minor things and my parents making sure I get on the course as much as possible. I placed 3rd at the 2009 Massachusetts State Vocational Tournament and I've just missed making it to States by a few strokes the past 2 years. I was my school's second best player my freshman year when the whole varsity team was made up of seniors. I have been the team captain for both my sophmore and junior years and I was again for my senior year. If I have a problem with an aspect of my game during a match I work on it after my match is done while I wait for the rest of my team to finish. This has got the other players on the team to follow my example and work on problems they have been having with their game. I try to assist my teammates however I can when they need help. For my senior year I played well and once again made it to sectionals. I'm open to any school in any region. My family and I will probably need finacial help. I have been interested in video editing and also computer technology. Now I am almost positive my major will be in business or accounting.I would to play as a freshman and to play at the highest competition level possible, but most importantly have an impact on the team.
