Event #36 Forest Akers East/West
8/17/24 to 8/18/24
Shot a two day total of 160 with a first day score of 76 from 6452 yards and Slope-Rating of 114/70.3. My driver again was a struggle but the short game saved me. Iron were inconsistent with some greats shots and some errant ones. The second day I shot and 84 from 6606 yards and Slope-Rating of 136-74.1. Driver is all over the place and irons weren’t great but my putter kept me in it. Overall it was a great experience and I finished 40th of 66 competitors.

UP Finals
5/29/24 to 5/29/24
Played the white tees 5904 yards Rating/Slope: 69.0/127. T4th place out of 59 competitors. Weather was very warm and I faced a stomach bug which led to a grind out on the course. Putting and Wedges were very good and just need to keep driver straight on tighter holes. Final event for the high school season and look forward for my final 2 years. Team took first shooting a 300 and won the tournament by 21 strokes.

GNC Finals
5/20/24 to 5/20/24
76 taking 4th place out of 29 kids. Played the white tees 5797. Rating/Slope 68.6/124. Course is very short but the constant down pour of rain was treacherous. The course is very skinny while I only hit my driver on 7/14 holes where you can. Greens were very hard to judge with wetness but my putting continued to save me. Wanting to hit more greens and get the shots within 100 yards very close.

Range Bank Invitational
5/15/24 to 5/15/24
77 taking 3rd place out of 44 kids. Course yardage is 6345. Rating/Slope 71.3/126. The rain and wind provided a nice challenge while playing with a D2 commit to Lake State University. It was a very enjoyable day and was very consistent with one double bogey that hit hard but otherwise was striking the ball great.

Neguanne Kiwanis Invatational
5/09/24 to 5/09/24

Played the Blue tees 6635 yards. My putter was on fire while managing to hit many green. Focused on keeping my driver down the middle.

Gladstone Best Ball Invite
4/22/24 to 4/22/24
2 man best ball tournament. 10 schools from the Upper Peninsula. Teammate and myself shot 68 and took home 1st place out of 26 teams. White tees- 5,921. Rating M-69.3, Slope -119. I shot a 73 and my buddy shot a 76. The course was fairly short but the tight fairways made up for yardage. Green were pretty receptive and had lots of break. Irons and putter were on fire, need to keep the driver down the middle.

Sample Tournament
Tournament Score --- Course Yardage --- Slope/Rating --- Place taken out of number of competitors --- Summary of event
74-72 ---- 6,950 yards --- 72.8/139 --- 2/59 players --- The course played tough as there was a lot of rain the night before so the fairways were soft, but so were the greens so it took a little bit of time to get the speed and reaction of the greens. I hit 22/28 fairways and 26/36 fairways over the two days. Definitely want to improve my ability to hit greens and take advantage of the birdie opportunities.
