Golf has been a very significant part of my life ever since I have been able to pick up a plastic golf club. My dad has worked at golf courses my whole life, and this has led me to being at the course a lot and developing a deep enjoyment of the game. As I grew up, I realized that I have a dream to play collegiate golf, and I am willing to work as hard as I can to make it.
In the last couple years, my love for the game has increased, and I am totally committed to getting as good as I can. I have set a goal for myself to touch a club for every day in 2022 and so far I have succeeded. Whether I am working on my short game in the basement of my house, to hitting into the simulator at the golf course, I am dedicated. Once the golf course opens, I try to play every day outside no matter what the weather is. I am almost at 11 months of daily touching a club, and I am fully committed to become the best golfer that I possibly can be.
I would be a great candidate for any team because I work hard and am a great leader. I have been selected to be the team captain of the basketball and golf teams for both my sophomore and junior years of high school. I lead by setting the example of the right way to act and putting in the work to get the results that I desire.
My academics are also a very important part of who I am, and I greatly value getting straight A’s in all of my classes. Getting a great education is very important to me because no matter how far I progress in golf, I will always be able to succeed if I do well in school and take classes that challenge me. Even if I am learning something that will not directly pertain to my life, I can always learn to work through problems and grow my knowledge.
