Cody Philpot '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cody Philpot and I am currently in my senior year at Sullivan High School and will be attending college in the fall semester of 2011. I have been a member of the Varsity Golf Team for all four years of high school. I was selected 1st Team All-Conference my sophomore and junior seasons, and was a 1st Team All-District Performer and State Qualifier last year.I have already got two tournament win and seven top ten tournament finishes in my 2011 season. I recently won a summer tournament held at Tapawingo National Golf Club in St. Louis, MO. This event was hosted by the Gateway Section Junior PGA and had 54 participants, including many who are on their way to playing collegiately. I shot a 1-over par 73 to claim 1st place by three strokes. I am a very hard worker and am willing to do the things it takes to be successful. I currently am working at Sullivan Country Club, which gives me plenty of opportunities to work on my game. I have set many goals for myself, and am looking forward to achieving those in my senior year of high school while preparing myself for the next level. I am an all around athlete and I play sports all year around I was a two year varsity linebacker for the football team, and qualified for State in wrestling in my junior and senior year and got an All-Conference honor this year. My main goal, however, is to focus on my golf game and play at the collegiate level.
