I have been playing golf for almost my entire life. I first picked up a golf club at age 2 and I have always loved the game. In 8th grade I tried out for the JV High School Golf Team and I played as an exhibition player that year, the following year in 9th grade I played as the number one spot on the JV team, then in 10th grade I tried out for the varsity golf team and I made the team and played as the number 4 spot for that season, now in my junior year of high school I play as the number 1 spot, I am the MVP of the varsity golf team, and I am also the captain of the varsity golf team. Now I would like to move to the next level from here and play college level golf. I am trying for scholarships to help my family pay for my college education. I am determined to improve my game as much as possible in the coming months to make my chances of getting scholarships improve greatly, just in the last year my handicap went from 9.6 in October of 2012 to a 1.7 now. I hope to work with you in the future and help you build a better golf team.
My home course is Laurel Links Country Club in Laurel, NY and is one of the most difficult courses on Long Island. It has been a U.S. Open regional qualifier on more than one occasion, in which only a couple of the players shot under par. I shot a lowest score of 74 at this course, par is 71, the slope/rating from the tees I play is 139/74.9, but the course has recently been re-rated and there have been rumors that the slope of the tees that I play may be increased to 149. My school team plays at North Fork Country Club in Cutchogue, NY.
