My love for golf began when I was five years old and my grandfather bought my first golf club. That year we began a weekly tradition of my grandfather, father, uncle and myself playing golf every Sunday. These outings taught me the importance of respect, honesty and integrity. These are traits I practice academically and athletically. Each week I was challenged to play my best and not let my age or lack of experience be an obstacle.
I continue to challenge myself to this day. I recently joined my high school swim team. I have never swam competitively and was not familiar with the technique required for each stroke. I focused and committed myself to being the best I could for the team. I find that stepping out of my comfort zone and challenging myself are important for me being successful. Additionally, I have played soccer since the age of five. By being a part of the swim team and soccer teams I know that being a part of a team is commitment, sacrifice, leadership and learning. I possess the skills and talent to play golf at the collegiate level. I will commit to be the best I can be and will be a leader on your team!
