Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Sean Fraser I am a class of 2023 golfer out of Guelph, Ontario. My goal for golf is to compete at the collegiate level and I'm willing to put in the work to do so. I attend John. F Ross C.V.I and am an honour roll student. I feel like I am very coachable and can learn from my mistakes. My handicap is a 2.8 after the end of the  2021 season. I'm looking forward to getting better over the winter with my new coach Dave Smallwood at Galt Country  Club.

  • Boys OFSSA Championship
  • 10/12/22 to 10/14/22
  • Was happy to play in my first Provincial High School Championship with the best High School golfers in Ontario. The Course played tough over the two days with tough pin locations, wind, rain, cold temperatures. and aerated greens. I pleased with how I played going 75,77 to finish 8th out of 120 players both days I had great front nines 36 and 35 but some unfortunate breaks and poor shotmaking lead to scores that were higher than I was hoping for. Once again it was great to play in Provincials and finish in the top 10 individual and top 5 team division cheers to a great season.
  • Camp/Event
  • Boys Cwossa Championship
  • 10/05/22 to 10/05/22
  • The Cwossa Championship is my school's regional championship. Out of a tough feild of over 150 players I managed to play some solid golf. The shotgun start format made for a very long round in the cold windy conditions. I had quite the rollar coaster round, starting very hot i birdied my 4th and 5th hole and eagleing my 6th hole then 3 more birdies in a row later on in the round. however the wind and cold wheather cuased me to loose patience and focus and I made two doubles and 3 bogeys and carded a even par 72 to place fourth overall and 1st in the team division it felt good to take home some hardware and advace to the OFSSA the provincial High School Championship
  • Camp/Event
  • District 10 High School Championship
  • 9/28/22 to 9/28/22
  • Had lots of pressure coming into this event as our four man team was defending our 1st place finish the year prior. I started my day off really well birding 3 put of my first 5 holes and slowed down a bit after that. I made the turn in 33 (-2). and a rough start to my back nine bogeying the 11th and doubling the 12th. After that I told myself that i was not going to let this round get away from me i went on to birdie the 13th and make some clutch up and downs on 14,15 and 18 to post a +1 72. This placed me 4th individually and my team successfully defended our crown. with a score of 213 from our top 3 scores
  • Camp/Event
  • Victoria Park East Club Championship
  • 7/30/22 to 8/01/22
  • Played well over the weekend and managed to come away with the win. Shot rounds of 73,78,74 (225) for a one shot victory. I was one stroke down going into 17 and made a good birdie and a good par on 18 to come away with the win
  • Camp/Event
  • Mjt Ontario Series
  • 7/23/22 to 7/24/22
  • played well both days shot 74,70 144 (+2 combined). Was happy to play some solid tournament golf and place 2nd overall in my division
  • Camp/Event
  • 100th Ontario Junior Boys Championship

  • Really Excited to play In my first Ontario boys junior championship looking forward to my first four day event. Will update after the tournament
  • Camp/Event
  • Ontario Junior Boys Qualifier
  • 6/08/22 to 6/08/22
  • Played well came out with a hit birdieing holes 3,4 and 5. Made a couple of mistakes coming down the stretch but played to to shoot a 75 for T3 and qualified for the 100th Ontario Junior Championship
  • Camp/Event
  • Mjt Ontario Series
  • 5/28/22 to 5/29/22
  • Had a good first day and made two good birdies coming down the stretch to shoot 76. Day two i battled hard but it didn’t go my way ended up shooting 85 to finish solo 7th. Was an awesome learning experience I learned how to keep a clear head and think through the shot when in pressure.
