My name is Jacob Bourquein. I started playing golf when I was 13, just before I started high school. I have enjoyed every moment of it and wish to continue playing and competing for as long as possible. As my skills have quickly improved over the last couple years my goal of playing in college has grown too. I have a work ethic that I believe sets me apart from other players both on and off the golf course. I maintained a 4.0 GPA for my junior year of High school while taking three International Baccalaureate courses and one college level Business and Marketing class. I work night shifts at Baskin Robbins 2-3 days per week and I get all of my homework done. After my class work is completed I practice my golf. I usually practice 6-7 times per week. Outside of school and golf I enjoy working on my 1963 Chevrolet Corvair that my dad and I bought to restore together and I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing and all other activities that involve spending time outdoors.
I know that I would be a valuable asset to any college team both as a player and a teammate. I know I will continue to improve in the coming months as I have shown with my solid work ethic.
