2022 Highlights I am very passionate about golf and aspire to play golf in College. I have a strong work ethic and a desire to become the best and would be a great candidate for your team.
At nine years old, I started my passion for sports playing tournament baseball as a catcher. Unfortunately, I developed a lesion in my throwing elbow, which made me have to stop playing baseball. This misfortune led my father to take me to the driving range for the first time. The first time I hit a golf ball, I never wanted to stop.
The summer before my freshman year, I played daily to prepare myself for high school tryouts. I made the varsity team as a freshman. In my sophomore year, although my course average was 87, I helped my team come in second place at districts, and we only lost by two strokes. From that point on, golf was life!
Throughout the summer, I practiced every day. I started playing Junior PGA events throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, which taught me much about competing.
As a sophomore, I qualified for districts but came short by just two strokes of making it onto states. I then joined the Hurricane Tour, which did not result in much success, but you would be surprised what you can learn from not finishing the way you know you can. I also participated in local tournaments through GALV - Golf Association of the Lehigh Valley, where I started to taste success.
My junior year it was states or bust. Outside of tournaments, it was practice, practice, practice leading up to the Fall Golf Season of my junior year. I qualified for districts again and placed fourth out of 27th golfers. I qualified and went on to the PIAA State Championship at Penn State University.
By the way, I may not be the most intelligent person in the classroom, but I work hard at school too! My summer routines include getting to the course early, an hour on the range, 2 hours on my short game, an hour on the green, and then 18 holes, where I work on course management.
In just three years, I brought my handicap from a 24 to a 4.0. My goals for this upcoming summer and as a senior are to bring my course average into the 70s, place in AJGA Tournaments and go on to play Division I Golf.
Every day I bet on myself, and you can bet on me that I will never let you down if you consider me for your College or University Golf Team.
