March 2023Personal Statement
For over ten years I have been golfing, which started just for fun and has turned into a competitive drive to be the best athlete I can be. In recent years my focus has shifted in order to play at the collegiate level. I want to compete for a team and a school while doing what I love. Golf allows me to use all my mental strength to focus on a game.
On the course I have consistently improved on a year to year basis. Over this past year I have started to compete in more national level tournaments to better my skills against a more competitive field. I want to play collegiate golf in order to continue to develop not only my golf game, but my relationships with the people I play with.
In order to pursue higher academics as well as golf, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in school. This hard work has helped develop my self discipline not only in the class room, but on the course. At college I want to be apart of something larger than my own game.
