Garrett Carney '25 Recruiting Profile

My passion for golf lies within the individuality of the sport. The way it’s me vs myself out on the course allows me to concentrate all of my focus on what I can do. Worrying about anyone other than yourself doesn’t exist in golf. That’s where my passion started, at age 7, when I fell in love with the game. Since I started playing more and more during the years of COVID, I started to gain interest in the high school golf team, which is where I started playing competitively. Playing casually is one thing, but there's nothing better than signing the scorecard after a great tournament round. Regarding academics, I'm involved in some upper level classes, with intentions to take even more next year. My aspirations are to find a school that's a good fit for me, academically and athletically.
