Patrick Worthey '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Patrick Worthey III and I am a 2024 Senior at David W. Carter High School in Dallas ,Texas. I am a right-handed golfer on the Varsity Golf Team. I have been on the golf team since 9th grade of high school but I started playing at the age of 4.  I am currently in the top 10% of my class and ranked 17 out of 224. My GPA is 3.7  I plan to major in business administration with a minor in marketing and cybersecurity. I am a prior member of First Tee of Dallas, North Texas PGA and I Am A Golfer Foundation at the Cedar Crest Golf Course in Dallas , Texas. I have played golf since I was 4 years old and I plan to play at the collegiate level if given the opportunity.  I am on the path to receive my Associates Degree concurrently with my high school diploma in Applied Arts and Business. I hold the office of Vice President for Jack and Jill of America and also President for Phi Delta Kappa Kudos Foundation. I am a Student Ambassador, Senior Class Secretary a member of the Varsity Swim Team, member of the National Honor Society for my school.  I serve on the Yearbook staff as a photographer. I was recently nominated as WFAA Channel 8 Scholar Athlete of the Week. The interview will aire on April 21, 2024 during the 10pm news.

My accomplishments include being on the Varsity High School golf team and winning the 13 4-A District Championship in 2023 and again this year in 2024. I achieved some first and second place finishes in District tournaments. I received the Best Driver award in 2021, the highest score award in the I AM a Golfer Foundation. In the off season I've been working to improve my putting and short game skills. I am working regularly with the golf pro at my regular playing course to improve my overall game. I possess the work ethic, attitude and skills necessary to contribute to the perform of the team.
