I love golf! I grew up my entire life playing baseball because my Dad's sister is married to Andy Pettitte (NY Yankees pitcher) who is my uncle, but I could not put down a golf club. I have played golf since I was 5 years old but did not play competitively until the Fall of 2018 once I made the final decision to pursue golf and leave baseball behind. It was a tough decision because I'm a lefty and I was a pitcher and enjoyed success, but again, golf was where my heart is. I believe I am made for golf because God has given me the natural ability (the swing etc) and I am working hard, practicing and learning every day. I am very TEACHABLE. I was born and raised in a pastor's home in Keller, Texas (suburb of Fort Worth) and I have always been taught to be humble in everything you do and to be hardworking and going all-in on everything I participate in. I also believe I have the necessary mental skills for golf as I am able to adjust very quickly when I hit a bad shot, and stay focused when I am hitting good shots and keeping a level head. Because I am a lefty, my favorite golfers are Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson (2 Masters champions). I would sit up my phone in our backyard and watch Phil on Youtube and learn to play my short game that way. I play on the Varsity golf team for Keller Central High School, and I earned a spot on the team during my freshman year. Coach David Zeigler is the Varsity Golf Coach, and my personal swing coach is Simon Hall, the Teaching Pro at Sky-Creek Ranch Golf Club in Keller, Texas. Simon has been my coach since the Spring of 2018 for 2 1/2 years. Above all else I strive to keep and maintain a good academic standing and have always desired to be a strong student. My current GPA as of the beginning of my 10th grade year is 3.7. I would consider it a huge honor and blessing to be able to continue playing golf in college and even beyond. I have big dreams!!
