I’ve played several sports before, however golf is my favorite. I love to play the game, but perhaps the best part of it is seeing all of the different courses and cities I get to play in.
I consider golf to be the most beautiful sport because of the nature around it, from the trees to the grass on the green. My father introduced me to the game of golf; he taught me to immerse myself in the beauty of every course rather than focus on hitting every shot "perfect" . I appreciate all of the opportunities that golf has provided me to explore new places, meet new people and new experiences. Physical and mental competition in golf is like no other sport I have participated, and I love it!!! I also adore sport fishing; it is another sport where I can enjoy the outdoors and at the same time grind mentally and physically. on every cast.
Fishing also really emphasizes the importance of “enjoying the moment" or a as in golf "one shot at a time"
I have been part of many teams and clubs for sports and academics. Being part of those teams helped me learn how to work well with others as well as learn to lead them during the crunch time of a game or competition.
I realized that it is important to have a good work-ethic to improve yourself, but a good work-ethic also helps those around you. As they say “Iron sharpens Iron.” Many teachers, coaches, teammates, and classmates have told me that I leave a positive impression on people wherever it is that I go.
I know that I have the ability to play well at the collegiate level. I strongly believe that I have what is necessary to be a good fit in a collegiate team program.
