I want to play golf for a highly competitive D1 NCAA program. Since I started playing tournament golf at age 8, I have always dreamed of playing college golf at a top-rated program, whose goal was to compete and win a national championship.
I've recently concluded my Junior year, about to start my Summer golf year. I am ranked 23rd in my class of 307 with a 3.6 GPA. I am a member of the National Honor Society, and will be taking my SAT and ACT test sometime this summer and fall.
I decided going into my Freshman year that I would focus my athletic career on golf only, leaving baseball, basketball behind, even though i had played for over 10 years and was a good player. I believe that decision has payed off as I am seeing positive results with hard work and practice, experience and great coaching.
I try to balance my spiritual, academic/athletic and personal activities, understanding that each area is important to leading a full and happy life. I enjoy helping others and am grateful for all that I have. I try to help the younger golfers at our club and on our team, remembering what it meant to me when the more experience players took the time to help and encourage me. I am very blessed to have very supportive parents and sister, along with many friends and family members that have encouraged and suppportive me through my brief golf career.
I'm excited about this year and will be putting all my focus in participating in as many high level golf tournaments as I can to showcase my golf progress.
