Parker Bare '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Parker Bare. I am from Gig Harbor, Washington, and have lived here my whole life. I went to Lighthouse Christian School from kindergarten through eighth grade. During my life, I played many sports such as soccer, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse. I played lacrosse until eighth grade and was selected to play for my region's state All-Star team as a goalie. At the end of middle school, I made the decision to focus more heavily on golf and pursue deeper training and conditioning. During my high school career, I have played varsity golf as a freshman, was a varsity diver and played for the tennis team.  

          Golf has been my primary sport for the last five years, and have been playing competitively for the last three years. I have competed annually in the Korean Open, Tacoma Open, and most recently the PNGA Junior Championship. I receive private coaching from former PGA Tour player Troy Kelly and recently started playing with former PGA Tour player Jason Allred who have both helped me to refine my game. I focus a lot of time and hard work into my golf swing to make it the best that I can and will continue to make it better and better as my golf career goes on. My dedication and passion for the game pushes me to put in as much work as I can and is necessary to have the ability to compete at the highest level and continue to improve my skills and ability. 

          Outside of school, I love to volunteer and help at all of my Church's events. I am blessed to serve as part of the YC (Youth Culture) team that consists of a group of high-schoolers like me who love to serve. We help with many aspects behind-the-scenes of the church, from being a part of the leadership team and helping shape the growth and direction of the church, to running technology, to assisting with events. I am a part of a small men’s group with my amazing mentor, Kramer Payne.  I am also a leader of various groups, including leading and mentoring a group of eighth grade boys, as well as a leader for large middle school and high school gatherings. Also, I am an active leader in our local Gig Harbor YoungLife. 

  I aspire to be a Professional golfer and see my name on the top of the scoreboards. I am willing to put in as much effort, time, and work to reach and fulfill my goal. Thank you for taking the time to read my statement.
