I have been around the game of golf my entire life, since I was still a baby going out with my parents. I started to love the game of golf more the more I grew up, starting to play more when I was 8 or 9. My passion only grew and I started playing tournaments at age 11. At 14, when I joined the high school varsity team I realized that golf was something I wanted to be great at. I started playing more competitive tournaments and honed my skills further, finally breaking par for the first time at 14. Since then I have only grown to love the game and the people around it more. Golf truly has bettered my life and I try to help others better their lives through this great game.
Golf, specifically being on a golf team has helped me become who I am today. Golf truly taught me many of the best attributes that I strive for how to lead, how to be a team player, how to maintain resilience, but most importantly how to work hard towards an overall goal. To play college golf I believe would not only be a great and fun experience, but also a great opportunity to improve myself and help improve others not only on the golf course but in everyone’s lives.
I have always been a competitive person and golf has helped me harness that competitiveness. I love playing in tournaments, they allow me to show the work I have put in and push me to get better than my opponents.
2024 was a year of massive improvement for me, my scoring average rose from 76.82 in March to mid July to 72.70 in the rest of the season. I played very well in an AJGA tournament managing to place 2nd, after holding the lead through 53 holes and losing to an eagle on the final hole. I took this as a learning opportunity though and an opportunity to do better next time. Although this was not the result I was hoping for it boosted my national AJGA ranking which now sits at 395th nationally.
